Hi, I’m Michael and I love showing people around Sydney and surrounding areas.
Born in Sydney to parents from Europe, I graduated in coastal engineering, and spent many years developing wharf and boat facilities for the ports and waterways authorities of New South Wales. I also prepared the strategic plan for the water-based activities for the Sydney 2000 Olympics as well as the conservation register for the many historical and heritage items at and below water level in Sydney, Botany Bay, Newcastle and Port Kembla.
However, my true love has always been exploring the many walks, buildings, icons and precincts within the region. I am Certificate IV qualified in Tour Guiding and have taken many of our cruise ship visitors on tours around Sydney, Botany Bay, Newcastle and the Hunter Valley and the Blue Mountains. I am also a volunteer tour guide at the Great Synagogue, Sydney’s oldest synagogue, with a passion for Jewish Sydney, as well as for other precincts such as the Sydney CBD, The Rocks, Newtown and Chinatown.
So if you would like to be with a friendly and enthusiastic tour guide with detailed knowledge of the local area, please contact me.
